Do the Math
Quilting requires a lot of math……..how much fabric will I need for a pieced block? How many strips and at what width will I use for the borders? How much fabric will I need for the backing? Quilters also watch the price of goods in order to get the best purchase for their dollars spent. If so much time is taken for the fabrics that go into your quilted piece, why in the world would these same quilters not take the time to pick out the right batting that gives the best end product for the best price?
Recently I overheard a group of women who were excited about the money they saved on a roll of batting. They were able to use their 40% off coupon, resulting in quite a savings. If these women had ‘done the math’, they would have discovered that the everyday retail price on the comparable Legacy batting product is not only less than their final amount spent, but there is also a difference in the width of the battings. Legacy battings are available in 96″ and 120″ widths. Check out the prices on my website and ‘do the math’.
